25 Days of Christmas: Food Edition Episode 13
4:26 PMToday, I'm going to share with you what I'll be making for breakfast tomorrow (so I don't have any pictures for it yet, sorry)!
Oatmeal :) You're probably thinking, "Oh, uhm that's nice". (with a hint of sarcasm, lol)
But, this oatmeal is full of spices that make it taste like the holidays!! YUMMO!! If you've never made oatmeal on the stove top and only used the microwave, I am going to STRONGLY urge you to try it. It is SO SO SO much better than the instant microwave stuff.
Today's code word is OATMEAL (don't forget to comment on this post and enter via the raffle form below. See official rules Here.)
Christmas Spice Oatmeal
2 cups water
¼ tsp. sea salt
1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
¼ tsp. ground ginger
¼ tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. raw honey
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
Bring water and salt to a boil in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add oats; cook over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add cinnamon, ginger, and cloves; mix well. Let oatmeal stand 1 minute before serving. Divide evenly between four serving bowls; top each evenly with honey and milk.
