*CAUTION* Honest Review Ahead- 3 Day Refresh

I've tried cleanses before and they have always been horrible. I did the Dr. Oz 48 hour one, I think it was last year. I thought, "I can do anything for 48 hours." Yeah well, by mid-day the 2nd day, I had the most HORRIBLE headache, felt like I had gotten run over by a truck, and I was FAMISHED!! I gave up by lunch time because I was like this is SO not worth it.

So, when I first heard of the 3 Day Refresh I wasn't really sure about it. I'm not one to go on deprivation diets anymore since they always seem to just push me over the edge and make me crave junk afterwards. But, I had recently really gotten in to a bad habit of snacking too much and my nutrition was getting a little off so I decided to go ahead and get the 3 Day Refresh from Beachbody. I was able to use money that I had earned as a coach to go ahead and purchase it too. I had seen a ton of other people posting about having done it before and how good it made them feel and their awesome results, so I decided to give it a go myself. I also wanted to try it so that I could give my customers unbiased and personal information about it.

AND>>>> I'm not saying that this will be EVERYONE'S experience. If you like the 3 Day Refresh, that's AWESOME!! If you've had GREAT success with it, I'm so happy for you. :)

What is the 3 Day Refresh?
It's a 3 day, regimented nutrition program that helps either kick-start a new nutrition plan you may be starting or can help you get back on track with the one you fell off of.
It consists of:
Shakeology- 3 packets (1 per day)
Fiber Sweep- 3 packets (1 per day)
Vanilla Fresh Shake- 6 packets (2 per day, 1 for lunch & 1 for dinner)
Your choice of fresh fruits and veggies & healthy fats from a specific list

Here is what I experienced over the 3 days. (This is my 100% honest opinion on the 3 Day Refresh)

                                                 Day 1:
I woke up ready to give this my all. I purchased it to complete, so I was committed to do just that. I followed the eating plan to the "t"...and I only got a very light headache in the afternoon (I knew I would get this because you can't have caffeine on the Refresh, and I drink a cup of coffee every day. My hope was that doing this might help break me of that.) I wasn't really sure what to expect, that's why I started it on a Saturday (in case my body reacted weirdly, or I needed quick access to the facilities, if you know what I mean). But, it didn't. I never felt hungry all day long. And it basically felt like a regular day other than I was drinking a lot of shakes. And the dinner recipe I chose is actually going to more than likely be a recipe I use all the time. It was VERY yummy!!! Lemony Green Beans!!

Day 2:
Today was a little tougher, timing wise, for planning because of church. I had decided that because it was only 3 days that I would actually eat the exact same things each day. It just made it way easier for me, and I could deal with it for 3 days. Still no hunger pains. I actually felt almost over-full after eating dinner too. Which was kind of interesting to me. Still no blatant side effects from the heavy dose of fiber I was taking in.

Day 3:
OK, so by this day, I was ready to eat regular food again. I was getting tired of drinking shakes for every meal (yes I got to eat other food with it but...). And I was craving those nasty things called "carbs". LOL But, it was super easy to stick to the diet on this day because I was at work all day and had tons to 1. keep me distracted and 2. I had only the food with me that I could eat so. I finished last night, full after eating dinner and wasn't craving anything else for the evening. My system also finally cleansed itself tonight, lol. I know TMI, but I mean seriously, why else do we do a "cleanse", am I right? I was wondering if this would ever happen, and am glad to say it did, after I had consumed everything on the list for the 3 days. I was just ready to get up the next morning and eat something OTHER than a shake and veggies (don't get me wrong, I love my veggies but I needed some more sustenance.)

Day after:
I woke up this morning and was so excited to eat, and even more DRINK COFFEE!! Yes, 3 days without coffee. Was it difficult, not really. I just really love the taste of coffee. I actually bought pure coffee extract (because pure extracts were on the freebie list) to add to my shake the last night because I love it so much, lol.

My results:
I realized on Saturday morning when I began this that I had no scale (I'm dog sitting so mine is at home). I was little upset that I hadn't thought of that since I needed to be able to weigh myself to share my results. I had to run home at one point too that day and STILL forgot to get it! But, Saturday evening I was able to find one at the house I'm staying at. So, my results are from that point on as far as weight loss goes.
Before
After

Weight loss: 2.5 lbs.
Inches lost: 1 inch

My stomach definitely felt lighter and "flatter", if that makes any sense. I thought I might drop more than that but it's OK. I'm not sure if it was because I hadn't been eating quite as bad as I had thought previous to starting this or what, or at least that's what I'm telling myself, lol.

Do I feel any better?
Maybe in my head because I know I just did my body a favor over the weekend, eating SUPER healthy. But physically do I feel better? Not really. I'm not sure if my hopes were too high or maybe I wasn't as off track as I thought ;) lol

Am I glad I went ahead and did the 3 Day Refresh?
If you're still reading this, you're probably thinking you already know the answer to this. BUT, actually I am VERY glad I gave it a try. I can now say I have tried it, and give my customers my honest feedback from it.

BEST PART OF THIS EXPERIENCE:
I learned that I could do anything for 3 days so long as it involves some real food...lol. It really, truly wasn't all that bad. I was NEVER hungry while on the plan. My caffeine headaches (that I get pretty regularly) were not as bad I thought they might be (they are way worse on days that I skip my coffee and am not on the refresh). And, I know that I just did my body a world of good by eating EXTREMELY healthy for 3 days straight.

ALL THAT BEING SAID>>>>

The 3 Day Refresh didn't quite work the way I had hoped but is it something that I would recommend to my customers? Yes; I would recommend it if you were using it as a way to START a new nutrition program or if you are someone who still has a lot of weight to lose and wants a way to get on track or if you've splurged a ton at maybe say like the holiday times. Maybe my hopes for this were just WAY TOO HIGH because LOTS of people have had OUTSTANDING results from it. So, I won't write it off completely.

So yeah, that's my 100% honest review of the 3 Day Refresh. Would I do it again? I'm not really sure. I guess we'll wait and see :)
