Get out of the way...

Last night I read a post by another Beachbody coach that was so AWESOME and inspiring. She wrote about how many of us put limits on ourselves. If we want change or if we feel stuck, it means we may have to do things we've never done. Here in America, we are so incredibly privileged. And with that unfortunately comes a mentality of "I can't go without". Making small sacrifices is something many of us don't want to do (btw, I'm preaching to myself here too. I'm definitely guilty of this as I sit here drinking my Starbucks this morning).
BUT>>>think about someone you know personally who you would consider successful. They didn't get there overnight. They had to work for it and I guarantee you they had to make sacrifices along the way.
In the last year, I can look back on 2 distinct instances where I felt STUCK in one way or another. I could have very easily just stayed there too. But, let's face it, no one likes to feel stuck.
Last summer when I was considering changing jobs, I was completely freaked out. I had been a nanny for the same family for 4.5 years and I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do or if anyone would even consider hiring me for anything other than childcare. BUT, I felt STUCK. That day when I talked to the mom and told her I was going to begin looking for a new job I had so many emotions running through me. "What will she think", "Is the right thing to do", "Will I even be able to find another job", etc. I miss them very much but it was definitely one of the BEST decisions I made. I now have an incredible job that I love & where I get to work with AMAZING people smile emoticon
December of last year was another time I felt STUCK! I was at a point in my life that I didn't like what I saw in the mirror, my relationship with Christ was really non-existent, and I just wasn't happy. I kept thinking, "Wow, I'm going to be 30 next year and what am I doing with my life"? I needed to make a change. I decided January 1st was going to be that turning point for me. I began by making my devotions a priority. I spent the entire month of January getting back on track in my relationship with Christ. I can honestly say I've NEVER had a closer relationship with Him than I do right now smile emoticon The next step was to get back on track with my health. I felt sluggish, had gained 25 lbs, and was eating like I hated my body (because I kind of did). February I chose to take the first step to get back on track and actually do something I had never really done before, EXERCISE! It freaked me out, but I wanted change, so I had to do something new because clearly what I had been doing wasn't sticking. And again, it was one of the BEST decisions I ever made. You know when you fill out those online forms and doctors forms that ask things like "What is your level of activity"? This may sounds ridiculous but it's AWESOME to be able to choose the ACTIVE option now. Before, it was always sedentary unsure emoticon I love it. It hasn't been EASY, by no means, but it has been AMAZING!!
Best part---I don't have to keep the "secret" to myself!! I get to share it with all of YOU so YOU too can get to where you want to be! And I'm not just talking about Beachbody here either. Maybe you need help making your devotions a priority, or need someone to tell you that "YES YOU CAN DO IT" in another area of your life. The Beachbody coaching opportunity has not only given me the tools to help people make changes to their health and fitness, but it's also given me the confidence to be able to realize my potential to help others on a whole other level.
So, today I would challenge you, if you feel STUCK: financially, spiritually, physically, emotionally, any way...STEP OUT of YOUR OWN WAY and TAKE the FIRST STEP to MAKE the CHANGE that will get YOU to WHERE YOU WANT TO BE!
